Can't restore Winclone Image

I am trying to restore a Winclone image file on top of a new bootcamp partition I just created. I’m pretty sure the image file is good because I was able to restore from it yesterday.

The image file now shows a “?” as part the icon. It didn’t have the “?” in the icon before. Another image file I created with Winclone yesterday also shows the “?” in the icon.

When I try to restore with either either image file, I get a message that says “The image you are attempting to restore does not contain the correct information.”.

Have the image files become corrupted? If they have, what would cause this?

If they aren’t corrupt, how do I restore them?

Thanks,

phil

I figured out the issue. I moved the images to a new folder but Winclone still had the old folder. An error message that said “Unable to open the image file /fullpath/to/imagefile” would have been much clearer than “The image you are attempting to restore does not contain the correct information” which implied (to me anyway) that it was able to open the file but the file contents were incorrect.

Thanks,

phil

Thanks. We’ll update the error message so it makes more sense.
