Cloning a 2TB (400 used) drive to an 1 TB SSD in a MacPro 5,1, running 10.14.6. Can’t clone volume to volume. Have made several images (taking over 5 hours each), fails to boot any of the restores. Bootcamp partition (Win 10) boots fine and runs perfect. Have been working on this several times for over a week with no success. Turned WIM on/off, use boot runner to dual boot. At a loss, complete install and spending the weeks tweaking drivers be faster and less problematic at this point.
Try saving the to an image and restoring to the 1TB SSD instead of the Volume to Volume restore. Let me know if that does not work.
