Delete internal BOOTCAMP after migration to external?

Apologies if this is answered elsewhere, but haven’t found it in the guides or forum search.

If I migrate a Bootcamp install to an external drive, can I remove the internal BOOTCAMP partition?

If yes, should I use “remove windows” via Bootcamp Assistant?

Or just blow away the internal BOOTCAMP partition?

Or leave the partition and resize it to something tiny?

Please advise! Thanks!

Once you have verified that all data is migrated correctly and bootable, you can remove the boot camp partition either in Boot Camp assistant or in Disk Utility.
