Erase all volumes with Automaton

As seen in the linked support document from Apple, there is now a separate, read only system volume where data is stored. You can see in the photo that it is separate in Disk Utility.

When using the automaton to erase a drive before running the MDS, it only erases one volume and leaves the other intact. Is there going to be a way to change this?

Apparently the solution is to use the MDS workflow to erase the drive instead, which is a feature in MDS 2.
