Hello!
When I try and install from a network drive it all works good until it reboots, then I get the error message:
The path /System/Installation/Packages/OSInstall.mpkg appears to be missing or damaged. Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again
MDS-version: 1.7 (12406)
Mac-version: High Sierra
How can I fix this to use MDS?
We have seen this before. It is due to a bad macOS. Please verify that the macOS app you downloaded is good and try saving the disk image again.
I downloaded a new installer from App Store and now it works!
Thank you!
To fix this issue of trying to download a full installer from the App Store, and get a disk image MDS can use straightaway, use installinstallmacos.py courtesy of Greg Neagle.
I’ve moved away from trying to pull a full install from the App Store to this and it works perfectly each time.
Cheers,
Jon
