Hi,
I am trying to migrate my Bootcamp Partition to a new mac and am getting a File Copy Error. Any suggestion on how to fix?
Supporting notes:
Using external storage device (formatted as exFat)
App: Winclone 10
Source: 2016 Macbook Pro 15” (intel) MacOS Monterey 12.0.1
Destination: 2019 Macbook Pro 16” (intel) MacOS Monterey 12.0.1
Attaching Log for additional info.
The EFI partition is full. Try mounting it and removing the backup files in EFI->Microsoft
Mount it by running
sudo diskutil mount disk0s1

Following your advice I mounted the EFI partition and looked around for any duplicate files (In my case I checked ALL the folders not just Microsoft)
- Mounted EFI partition: sudo diskutil mount disk0s1
- Removed all items in EFI->Microsoft->Boot folder
- Removed extra items in EFI->APPLE-> (CACHES,EXTENSIONS,LOG,UPDATERS)
*For step 3 I compared with another Mac I had kicking around to see what I deemed ‘extra’
- Restore Image
And for me, that did the trick.
