Hi, I am running High Sierra on an early 2011 MBP and I’m trying to use Winclone 7 (latest version available for my Mac) to backup my Bootcamp partition. However when I try to clone my partition I get a message asking me to install a helper tool. When I click ok I get an error message saying the helper tool could not be installed and my disk image doesn’t get created. Is there a workaround for this problem?
Can you try running this command to manually load the helper tool and see if that resolves the issue (the command is all on one line):
sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.twocanoes.WincloneHelper.plist
Thanks for your reply, I input the command line and entered my password but was met with this response:
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.twocanoes.WincloneHelper.plist: No such file or directory
So I managed to solve this problem. I downgraded to Winclone 6 and successfully created an image of my Windows partition
