inaccessible_Boot_device when cloning internal Bootcamp to external SSD on MBP 2017 with touchbar

I’m trying to migrate an bootcamp partition on my internal HDD to an external HDD. On a mbp 2017 with touchbar. I’ve gotten so far that I get the inaccessible_Boot_device blue screen. I have a magic keyboard and wired it (after the setup is started, else it wont work) and got the files copied from the setup to the correct drive. This went succesful. But when I boot the drive I still get the inaccessible_Boot_device blue screen.

I’m lost, what should I do now?

Can you give a bit more information? For instance:

  1. Type of Mac for both the source and the destination if they are different. You can find the Mac type under the Apple Menu->About this Mac under.
  2. What version of Winclone you are using.
  3. What version of Windows you are using.
  4. Are you migrating to an external drive? If so, what is the type of drive and how are you connecting it? (USB, Firewire, etc).
  5. Does the Windows volume mount on the Mac desktop?
