I recently purchased a MDS starter kit. When I connect the mac (tried it on two) it goes to internet recovery mode instead of regular recovery. I then can’t connect to my smb share. I get a tmp/mount read-only file system error. Any ideas?
On older Macs, command-r from the boot selector will go into internet recovery and you’ll have that issue. To resolve, just press command-r before plugging in the automaton then it should work fine.
