Just purchased WinClone 8 and don't see BOOTCAMP vol

macOS 10.15.4 (beta), launched and everything is grayed out (Select Volume does nothing):

Does the Boot Camp volume has a Windows folder and a System32 folder in it? That is how Winclone knows that it is a valid Windows volume.

Hi Tim,

I think I figured the issue.

I completely re-installed the public macOS 10.15.3 (19D67) from the network. Then I launched WinClone 8 and it did see my BOOTCAMP volume.

Then I upgrade-installed Apple internal macOS 10.15.3 (I am an Apple employee) and WinClone 8 no longer sees my BOOTCAMP volume.

A couple days ago I had tried a macOS 10.15.4 beta and thought that maybe the beta was the issue.

It looks the issue is with Apple internal macOS builds. Even though those builds are the same as the public builds, but with way more stuff in them allowing internal development, there is something in there that tricks WinClone?

Note that I have not touched my BOOTCAMP volume at all (have not even booted from it for weeks), so I would be surprised if the volume was altered by my macOS installs.

If you want I can debug more, I attached your log.

thanks for getting back to me. I edit your log to remove the license key and email address. I have not heard issues with 10.15.3 or 10.15.4 beta. There isn’t really anything special about how winclone determines if it is a windows volume. It checks to see if it is a windows type format (fat32, exfat, ntfs) and if there is a Windows/System32 directory.

Unfortunately, I’m seeing the same issue on my system with 10.15.4 installed on it. I just downloaded Winclone 8.1 (48104) and am attempting to run it. I have a Windows 10 Pro install on a SSD volume that I use both as a direct boot (BOOTCAMP) and Vmware Fusion volume. I also have NTFS for Mac installed from iBoySoft. The Windows 10 volume shows up in the Winclone log (see below) and I can see the Windows/System32 folder. I have tried both with the Windows 10 volume mounted using NTFS for Mac and also with it un-mounted. Vmware is able to see the volume without issue. Any ideas ? Thanks.

A quick update… its fixed. I tried again after re-booting the mac and now Winclone sees the Windows 10 volume. So all it needed was a re-boot!

I actually had to disable iBoySoft NTFS to keep my Bootcamp partition from not being seen by Winclone. I don’t seem to have this issue when using Paragon NTFS.
