We just received our first m1 MacBook Airs and want to use an Automaton to set them up. M1 chips do not use the command R for recovery mode, you continue to hold down the power button. How do we use Automatons with these machines?
Great question! It is possible to adjust the automaton for the m1 after the power button is pressed. Would you be willing to do some testing once I update the firmware?

Sure! I have ten new machines that I have to configure.

Can you join the macadmins slack and the mds-twocanoes channel? Much easier to communicate that way:

I set up to run workflows on our new 600+ M1 Macbook Airs and wanted to also use the Automaton. They do move into Recovery mode Options after holding in the power but then go to About Recovery and sit there. Any updates I need to flash to get them to the Utilities menu and terminal?
