Migrating a Bootcamp Partition with Winclone

Do I need to follow the “Migrating a Bootcamp Partition with Winclone” if I am simply changing the SSD on my MacBook Pro Early 2015 (A1502) for a larger one?

I am using MacOS 10.13.6 High Sierra and I understand that NVMe drivers are now part of the operating system. Since the SSD is the only change … I would have thought that this process is not necessary?

Any thoughts?

Those are the full instructions where you create a winclone image, sysprep, then create a new image. You can try just creating an image and restoring, but if it doesn’t work, you’ll have to reinstall the old SSD (which may or may not be a pain).
