Migrating windows 10 from old 2013 mac Sierra to new 2018 mac Mojave

Hi, my issue is similar to those posts on “inaccessible boot” migration to newer macs. I would just like to point out that for the tutorial on " Resolving INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE Error after restoring Winclone image" - some updating needed to help people in my situation !

Old Mac: 2013 Sierra MBP
New Mac: 2018 Mojave MBA

Steps I took

  1. Follow Mojave Boot camp assistant to create Bootcamp partition.

  2. Use WinClone 7 to Restore Winclone 6 image of W10 to Bootcamp partition.

  3. Encounter INACCESSIBLE BOOT

  4. Follow TwoCanoes tutorial on resolving inaccessible boot by using thumbdrive.

  5. Discover that thumbdrive WinPE, having no mac drivers booted, cannot detect D: drive (shows as removable with no partition) - thus cannot continue to follow tutorial.

  6. After many hours, discover that Mojave has created its on WinPE partition - this can do exactly what TwoCanoes tutorial describes/Step 5 - plus detect D: drive.

  7. Reboot mac, able to boot into W10 on new mac.

Thanks.
