Need help: is this possible, and if so, how?

I have a 2008 MacBook Pro 15 inch (4,1) running OS 10.5.8, with Windows XP in the Bootcamp partition. Hadn’t used it for several years, but now have a need for one of the apps in that partition. The computer boots well, and the app is functional - yay! But I sense that as its 10th birthday approaches, this computer may not be long for the world, certainly in the sense of anything like actual support for it.

Therefore, I’d like to move the partition to a newer MacBook Air, 11 inch, mid-2011, running 10.11.6. (Yes, I know…but it is working fine for my purposes now, so I currently don’t feel the need for a new Mac.)

Is it possible to move the partition over to the new(er) MacBook Air? If so, how?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Apple and Microsoft dropped support for Windows XP, and Winclone no longer supports it. I would recommend upgrading to Windows 10 or running in a VM such as VMWare fusion.
