I have been trying for days to migrate my Windows 7 Professional from my 2014 to my 2017 MacBook Pro. I have connected the two with a Thunderbolt cable and established a connection. However, when I hit Preferences under the Winclone 6 menu, the choice to Share over Network is not available. In frustration I purchased a 2 TB hard drive, but Mac OS wants to save in one format and the Winclone program demands another, so I cannot find something compatible. I really need to migrate over a network. When I purchased Winclone 6 Standard I was under the impression that I could accomplish this. Was I wrong? I have version 6.1.7 (17510)
The 2017 MacBook Pro doesn’t support WIndows 7, so even if you get it migrated, you’ll have boot and and driver issues. See here:
