Removing USB stick during install?

For a OS install only, Is there a time when the macOS install has started and the computer has rebooted that it is safe to remove the flash drive and move to the next machine? When trying to just update/install Mojave OS, it would be nice if we did not have to wait the 30-45 minutes to for it to reboot to the login screen.

I can see that it is copying the installer parts to the main boot drive like any normal OS install, so wondered if the workflow had no other parts if the drive could safely be removed once the Mac booted into the OS install?

Thanks!
Tim

Definitely! You can remove the drive after the first reboot from the recovery partition. Makes it much faster!
