Restoring a BC image to new MacPro

I am having difficulty in understanding the restore/migration process.
My old MacPro died and now I have a new one, with the latest OS.
I have several questions:

  1. Do I have to create a new BC partition? If so, what size? Same as Winclone image saved from previous Mac?
  2. Do I do this through the disk utility or BC utility?

I thought that I would just need to have the BC image from the previous Mac available on a hard drive and just double-click it after I re-installed Winclone on my new Mac…apparently not as easy as that (would be nice, right?).
So, any help I can get (itemized, in order, with explicit directions.
