Startosinstall return code 194

hello everyone,

since i’ve upgraded to MDS 2.0.1 and macOS 10.15.3 (19D76) my previously working workflow fails with error code 194.
the error message from startosinstall reads: „Error: The specified file is not a valid product archive“ and refers to the .pkg i want to install.
however, if i install the same pkg manually via installer after the OS is installed, it works just fine.
the same .pkg worked fine with MDS 2.0 and macOS 10.15.2

The Install macOS Catalina App and the Recovery Partition are up to date.

Any suggestions?

I’ve tested a .pkg with no payload for testing - the workflow fails as well /w code 194.

Please try the most recent PreBeta of MDS. I believe it resolves this issue:

Sorry for the delay.
I’ve successfully tested build 21853 - it worked just fine!
Any ETA for a new release?
