Not sure if this is possible for MDS to pull the current computerName from scutil of the target disk? It would be super helpful to suggest the current computer name when kicking off the image for re-deployment while in Recovery.
Imagr did this but i have not added it to the M1. Is that what you are referring to? Please file an issue here:
