Hi Russell,
I encounter a terrible difference in sizes. Please see attached screencaps!
My Finder estimates the size of only 295 GB!
Mac Pro 5.1 (2012) - Mac OS X 10.10.5 / Winclone 5.7.6
Please advice how to troubleshoot this issue.
Cheers

So there are 3 different “sizes”:
Size in finder of image: Compressed size of the data
Filesystem size: the size of the NTFS filesystem (including unused space)
Partition size (usually equal to the filesystem size): size of the partition which contains the filesystem.
If the partition size and the filesystem size are different, you can control click on the partition and select “Expand Windows filesystem” (assume block-mode is enabled in prefs).
Does that help?

Hallo Tim,
Thanks for your reply. Perhaps my post was not clear. What I mean I that my 500GB SSD (-) the compressed filesystem is in Winclone 407.22GB. The saved image on my NAS - in Finder - is only 295GB. So IIUC the difference in filesize is huge?
Please also check my prefs:
Cheers
The image file is zipped, so it really depends on how the data can get compressed. Also, if you checked the file size which it was cloning, the Finder tends to not update the filesize. Try control-clicking the image, select Show Package Contents, and look for the largest file (Windows.wim or boot.img.gz). That is the real size.
