Winclone 6 Backup Menu cannot create Bootcamp-Backup (Backup now)

After some seconds there is an error-message and the system-log shows:
Mar 21 10:49:00 iMac Winclone Menu[341]: BUG in libdispatch client: kevent[mach_recv] monitored resource vanished before the source cancel handler was invoked

Complete backups with the desktop-app are working. The above error is with and without blockbased backup.

System is MAC 10.13.3 on an iMac

I don’t think that messages is related to Windows backups. Did you try and create a clone with Winclone in the main app?

tim

It is the only message related to the winclone menu. The winclone-menu had the error message: there is an error with the windows backup, please see the system log in the console app.
This happens only with the menu-backup, the standard-app works flawlessly as far as I can see.
The error persists even after reinstalling the bootcamp partition with the bootcamp app of apple.
There is a certain amount of orders and files in the menu-backup, but I do not know if it is complete. The backup stops after a few seconds and the error message pops up.

Try this:

Open Terminal, and run:

log stream --style syslog --predicate ‘process contains[cd] “winclone”’

It won’t show any output until you activate the backup. Then it should show the reason for the error.

tim

Terminal shows:

Bad predicate ‚process

and the log does not start

I think the quotes got message up. Make sure you use single ("’") and double quotes ("""). I think the forum is changing it.

tim

As can be seen in the screenshot, I used a copy and paste for the command in terminal

And the original message:

Try this:

log stream --style syslog --predicate 'process contains[cd] 'winclone''

There was the old error message, but no entry in the Terminal app:

Try this:

In the help menu, select Submit Logs and I’ll take a look at them. Make sure that you try to do a backup right before submitting the log.

The problem is the ntfs driver from Paragon that is installed on my Mac (needed).
Disabling or deinstalling the driver lets your software work.

This really is an issue to be solved!
