Winclone 6 creates 12K image of 155Gb bootcamp in default (WIM) mode, crashes in block mode

I upgrade from Winclone 5.7.6 to 6.1.6 in anticipation of moving my Bootcamp install from the current setup - a separate dedicated SSD in my old Pac Pro 2,1 - to a new iMac as an external drive. The Bootcamp source is a 250Gb SSD with about 155Gb used. One NTFS partition. El Cap 10.11.6 on the mac, Bootcamp is Windows 10 Pro

Winclone 5 still creates images as normal.
Winclone 6 does not recognise the version of windows and needs to be told it is windows 8 or later. It creates a 12 or 16K image in a matter of seconds. The only message in see in the console log is “Winclone 6: More than 1 partition found!”

If I then select Block-based imaging in preferences, Winclone 6 then hangs with Saving Filesize displayed above th eprogress bar and I get this crash report below (truncated as it exceeds maximum post size).
Any ideas what is happening? Is this some incompatibility with my non-EFI BIOS Mac Pro and Winclone 6?

Can you send me the logs from within Winclone in the Help menu? Please recreate the error then send the logs.

Resurrecting this old thread. I gave up on Winclone for a while and had no backup. Came back to this problem a month ago and still can’t get winclone 6 to produce a backup. I bought an upgrade to Winclone 7 without realising it doesn’t support El Capitan so I can’t use it - I didn’t see a a prompt about system requirements in the updater.

I’ve sent in the winclone log for this error - still getting a 420 byte image for a 182Gb bootcamp disk.
