I’m running Catalina and I’m trying to make an image of my bootcamp drive to a NAS. I’m using winclone 8.0.1. I go through the wizard and everything is fine, but then when it starts to create an image, it doesn’t do anything. No cpu usage, no drive usage, no network usage, no progression on the bar. Nothing. And when I try to cancel it also doesn’t cancel. The only way to stop it is to force quit it from task manager. What can I do to resolve this?
If you open the log window, does it show any error messages?

This is what I get:

it looks like the helper tool is either blocked or crashing. Do you get any crash error messages or are you running any security software/antivirus that might be blocking the helper tool?

Heres what I get on Catalina with Winclone 8.01 - nothing after last line, just stalls and I have to force quit app. nothing else in log, and image is 635 bytes

Yep , I got the same problem , idk what to do.
I dont have any antivirus , and also i dont get any crash error messages
Can you open up console and see if there are any winclone related messages printed when you try and do an operation?
tim
Was this issue ever resolved, as I am having the same problem, “stuck” at “setting up listener for mach service com.twocanoes.WincloneHelper”, no anti vuris, no console log errors concerning winclone image creation.
Mike
Can you try uninstalling and then reinstalling? The uninstaller is in the disk image that has software.
tim
I’m seeing the same thing here. 10.15.2 on a 16" MacBook Pro. Tried uninstall+reinstall, too.

Is all I see in console, other than some runningboardd syslogs.
Cancel does, however, work.
Hi every body
I have this problem too
The first one is that winclone doesn’t recognize my boot camp partition in log
And the second one is that winclone doesn’t do Anything after “setting up listener for mach service …”
Help me pls
I need to take image from my bootcamp very fast
The helper tool is either being blocked by anti-virus or security software or needs to be reinstalled.
tim
How does one verify this to be the case? No security or anti-virus stuff installed.
is there a way to manually test (using some sort of verbose mode) as to why the helper tool isn’t working?
I have the same issue and I’m completely unable to solve it, I’ve checked and repaired permissions, run chkdsk, disabled AV and Tuxera, run the App with Admin privileges and always getting the same error.
Any news on this?
Looks like the helper tool is crashing. Can you zip up and send the crash log from /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ to support@twocanoes.com and reference a link to this form post? I’ll take a look at it and respond back. It should be named something like WincloneHelper_2020-04-22-110936_something.

Sorry for the late answer. There is no such file. Thanks in advance.
