Windows 7 on a MacBook Pro (mid 2015)

Hi,

I am migrating from an old MacBook to the above mentioned. I have a 64 bit version of Windows 7 but when I come to boot to the restored image it does not boot either as EFI or Legacy. I have searched around somewhat and it appears that Windows 7 does not support EFI. Am I to assume that there is no way I can install Windows 7 on this machine? Is there any intermediary apps that could handle the booting?

Many thanks

That is correct. The new Macs do not support Windows 7. You either need to upgrade to Windows 10 or install Windows in an VM like Fusion or Parallels.
