I am upgrading my hard drive. I installed the new hard drive and re-installed the OS.
I installed a vanilla copy of bootcamp using the bootcamp assistant, which I verified runs properly.
Then I and attached the old drive via a USB enclosure. I then imaged the Bootcamp partition from the enclosure to a local folder on the machine.
I restored the image I made to the bootcamp partition on my installed drive.
I received the inaccessible boot error, and followed the procedures for EFI booting from a USB and running DISM.
Upon re-booting, I now get the error “Your PC couldn’t start properly”
Now what?
Please let me know a bit more about your set up (Version of windows, mac type, external drive type, interface ).
